Walking, hiking, Americans do less of it than any other country

Could this be one of the key reasons we find ourselves battling the bulge at every turn? A Center for Disease Control study found that almost 50% of Americans had not walked for 10 straight minutes in a week, and a study by Gregg Furie of Yale Medical School showed less than 25% walk or bike in any given week.
